About me
Brandon has been a Red Cross volunteer since 2005, with the former National Capital Area Chapter (Washington, D.C.) and now with Greater New York.
Brandon works in Disaster Cycle Services, focusing on training and mass care. As a government liaison during Hurricane Katrina, Brandon directed portable hygiene equipment from government partners to shelter sites in the Mississippi and Alabama area. Brandon was a shelter site manager during Hurricane Irene. During Hurricane Sandy, Brandon delivered training to over a thousand event-based volunteers in New York City. At the Texas–Mexico border, Brandon managed Red Cross staffing of partner migrant shelters.
In addition to private sector government relations roles in New York and Washington, Brandon has worked extensively in government, including for the mayor of White Plains, the deputy mayor of Washington, in the Office of Legislative & Public Affairs of the U.S. Foreign Agricultural Service, the U.S. House of Representatives, and the Legislative Divisions of the New York City Council. Currently, Brandon is a lawyer in private practice.
Brandon has a master's degree in public administration from The George Washington University and a law degree from Fordham University.
